Aloha! I’m Chris Iguchi, the creator and owner of Grown Not Flown.

This brand started with a simple text message to my wife, Jeianna, back in 2022. It was an idea sparked by both love for our home and a bit of frustration. I kept seeing more and more people move to Hawai‘i to “work from home in paradise,” yet many didn’t take the time to truly learn about the culture, traditions, or values that make this place so special. That disconnect pushed me to create something that honors what it really means to live here — with respect, intention, and aloha.

From that small idea, Grown Not Flown grew into a lifestyle brand that celebrates the heart of local living. It’s about staying grounded in where we come from, supporting our communities, and keeping our roots strong. The name itself is a reminder to nurture what’s right here at home. To grow through connection, humility, and respect for the land and the people, both past and present, who make Hawai‘i what it is.

This brand isn’t just for those who were born and raised here. It’s also for those who have chosen to make Hawai‘i their true home.
